The International Centre for Theoretical Physics Asia-Pacific (ICTP-AP) operates in affiliation to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). ICTP-AP is now recruiting 1 scientific research financial assistant due to work needs. The workplace is located in Zhongguancun, Beijing. The position is embedded in an international research environment with frequent interactions with visiting scholars, postdoctoral researchers, and professors from around the world. The research team works in theoretical physics and gravitational-wave science, and the assistant will support administrative tasks related to these research activities

1. Application conditions and requirements

1)  Bachelor's degree or above; A background in physics or related scientific disciplines is a plus but not mandatory; relevant financial work experience is preferred;

2)  Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, with good language communication skills and basic written expression skills;

3)  Proficient in operating computer systems and office software;

4)  In principle, the applicant’s age shall not exceed 35 years old, but if there are outstanding candidates, it can be appropriately relaxed;

5)  Law-abiding, physically and mentally healthy, with good time management and coordination skills, a sense of responsibility and teamwork and a strong sense of service.

2. Work content and job responsibilities

1)  Managing funds, data statistics and filing in scientific research-related reports;

2)  Handling the research group's daily financial reimbursement, contract management, equipment procurement and acceptance work;

3)  Assisting the project leader to do a good job in scientific research project management, including management affairs related to the establishment, implementation, evaluation and completion of scientific research projects (projects); Cooperate with relevant departments to supervise, inspect and audit scientific research funds;

4)  Handling work procedures for foreign staff in China, team members going abroad, etc.;

5)  Organizing international and domestic conferences and the reception of visiting researchers at home and abroad;

6)  Other work assigned by the person in charge of the project.
