Job description:
The International Centre for Theoretical Physics-Asia Pacific (ICTP-AP) operates in affiliation to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and is under the auspices of UNESCO, in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the National Science Foundation China (NSFC) and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste). We invite applications for a full-time postdoctoral position in particle phenomenology. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in astrophysics and/or gravitational wave physics. The position is for two years, with the possibility of a third-year extension. The salary for the position is around 320,000 CNY per year before tax. Additional funding is available for expenses of travels and conferences.
The applicant should have:
• A Ph.D. in Particle Physics. An official proof of Ph.D. graduation by the time the position starts is strongly preferred.
• Strong background in particle physics and familiarity with programming languages commonly used in particle physics research.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
The successful applicant will work with Xiaoyong Chu (https://inspirehep.net/authors/1065294) on dark matter physics and broader particle phenomenology. The selected applicant is also encouraged to collaborate with the other researchers in the Centre.
