Job description:

International Centre for Theoretical Physics Asia-Pacific (ICTP-AP) invites applications for full-time postdoctoral research positions located in Beijing, China. The positions are for two years, and can be extended for additional years contingent on performance. The positions are expected to start in fall, 2024 and earlier.

Successful candidates will work with Prof. Huaike Guo (https://inspirehep.net/authors/1074602?ui-citation-summary=true) on gravitational wave science and data analysis in connection with physics beyond the standard model and dark matter, or with Prof. Jun Zhang (https://inspirehep.net/authors/1286711?ui-citation-summary=true) on gravitational effective field theories, gravitational waves, and cosmology.

The salary for the position is around 320,000 CNY per year before tax. Additional funding is available for travel expenses, and benefits are purchased by the institute. Successful candidates will be encouraged to apply for the research associate project of CAS. Once succussed, the salary will be increased accordingly.

ICTP-AP operates in affiliation to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and is under the auspices of UNESCO  in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the National Science Foundation China (NSFC) and the Abdus Salam  International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste).
