Institution Background:

The International Centre for Theoretical Physics Asia-Pacific (ICTP-AP) operates in affiliation to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and is under the auspices of UNESCO  in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the National Science Foundation China (NSFC), and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste).

Job description:

The position is based in ICTP-AP Beijing, also in collaboration with the theory group of the Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE) in Spain, announces the opening of a postdoctoral position for 2024. 

The candidate should have a doctoral degree and experience in High-Energy Particle Physics, especially in Effective Field Theory, Scattering Amplitudes, Quantum field theory, New Physics and its Phenomenology. 

The successful candidate is expected to work with Prof. Teng Ma ( in ICTP-AP and Prof. Alex Pomarol and Andrea Wulzer in IFAE. The candidate will spend two to three months each year visiting the theoretical group in IFAE. The position will be for two years, with the strong possibility of extending for the third year. 

The salary is around 320,000 CNY per year before tax. Additional funding is available for travel expenses, and benefits are purchased by the institute.  

Successful candidates will be encouraged to apply for the research associate project of CAS, once succeed, the salary will be increased accordingly.
