Job Description:

As a leading member institution of the Chinese space-based gravitational wave detection mission Taiji project, UCAS plays an important role in the R&D of space-based gravitational wave detection project in China. We invite applications from outstanding graduate students and postdoctoral scientists who have related backgrounds or are interested in gravitational-wave sciences to join UCAS.

The position is based in Beijing and expected to carry out space-based GW detection mission aimed research.

The term of initial appointment is two years with the possibility of reappointment. It is possible for an outstanding candidate to be prompted as a tenure-track assistant professor of UCAS.

 

Requirements:

Applicants should have Ph. D. or equivalent degree in physics, astronomy or related fields, and demonstrated ability to conduct outstanding research and mentor students.

Prior experience in the science and technology of gravitational wave physics and gravitational wave astronomy would be very helpful but is not a requirement.

 

Salary:

The annual gross salary will be around 300k RMB depending on the post-holder’s experience.
