"Z" Visa is for employment of more than 90 days to a maximum of 5 years.

You need a "Notification Letter of Foreigner's Work Permit" from UCAS to apply for a Z visa if you will work at UCAS for more than 90 days.

1.    Recently-taken two inch half-length, bareheaded, full-faced photos

Electronic photo, with a white background, no borders, complete facial features, clear images, and no spots, flaws, or ink defects. JPG format, size between 40K and 120k bytes, no less than 354 (width) * 472 (height) pixels, no more than 420 (width) * 560 (height) pixels, 24 true colors.

2.    Application Form for Foreigner's Work Permit (ICTP-AP prepare)

3.    Physical examination certificate:

Certificate of physical examination for foreign personnel issued by Chinese inspection and quarantine agency or,

physical examination certificate issued by an overseas health care institution approved by Chinese inspection and quarantine agency. 

*Issuance time should be within 6 months

4.    Work contract

 Applicants’signature needed

5.    Copy of your Passport (valid for at least 6 months)

6.    Work Experience Certificate

A statement of work experience related to the work of the current employment position issued by the unit where the applicant has worked, including the position, the starting and ending time of the work, the content and effectiveness of the work, or the projects that have been done, requiring the official seal of the applicant's original work unit and the signature of the person in charge, and showing the valid contact phone number or email address of the certifying person.

7.    Diploma of the highest degree.

If the certificate is obtained abroad, it is necessary to provide the certified copy by Chinese embassies and consulates in foreign countries or Chinese academic certification agency.

8.    Certificate of Non-Criminal Records with its authentication and the Chinese version (if necessary)
