3. Documents for the 240-hour Visa-Free Transit
(1) Valid international travel documents, usually a passport, and a ticket to a third country/region. Make sure the ticket shows a confirmed departure time and seat within 144 hours of your arrival.
(2) Complete the Arrival/Departure Card upon arrival.
(3) If necessary, have a valid visa for a third country/region where you will visit after leaving China.
4. Eligible Transit Route for 240-hour Visa-free Travel
You must be in transit to a third country or region (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan are included among possible third regions). Your departure and return destinations must be different Countries/regions.
5. How to Calculate the 240 Hours?
The 240 hours start from 00:00 immediately following the time of entry.
